What to say about me. Well, I was born in a small town, I grew up in a small town, and I currently live in a small town. I have never wanted to live anywhere else, although I do have urges to travel and would love to have enough money to fulfill them! After high school I went to a small Bible college in my small town and there met my husband, although it took us 3 years after we graduated to decide that we were good together. I am half-way completed my Bachelor of Education degree and hopefully someday will go back to finish it because my dream has alwasy been to be a teacher.
Back to my husband, like I said, we met in college and graduated in the same class in 2005. In August 2008 we decided (after a series of unique facebook chats and a couple walks and dates) that we would see if this would work between us. In May 2009 we were married! It has since been an interesting road, but one that we wouldn't change.
In February 2010 we welcomed our first child into the world. A girl named Maddison. She brought much joy and excitement to our family and we were very excited to have her with us! She has enough energy to wear both of us down, and then she goes some more, so it's been fun filled times since she came around! She loves singing, princesses, pink, and dancing. She is our little energizer bunny, that's for sure.
We had talked about kids before we got married and decided on a couple of numbers (either 4 or 6 depending on life really). Obviously I got pregnant very quickly after getting married, so after Maddison was born we said we would wait a year before planning another child. A week before her first birthday I discovered I was pregnant again. Unfortunately at 8 weeks I started bleeding and we lost baby Timothy Nevaeh (named such because we don't know whether baby was a boy or girl) at 8 1/2 weeks.
That was a hard month, but God was faithful and by May 2011 I was pregnant again. This pregnancy resulted in our rainbow baby, Brooklyn, born January 2012. She is also a joy to have around and we are loving having two girls to share life with! Brooklyn is very soft hearted and loves to help. She can't get enough of helping me clean (with baby wipes) and empty the dishwasher and washing machine. She also loves music and is almost always walking around singing.
When Brooklyn was 9 months old we found out, through a course of unexpected events, that I was once again excpecting. Something felt off to me though and after an early ultrasound at 6 weeks we discovered that baby Darius Juliet was an ectopic pregnancy and so we once again had to say good-bye to one of our precious babies.
Because of the drug that was given to me after we discovered my pregnancy was ectopic, I was instructed to wait for 3 months before trying for another baby. We waited those 3 months and more before finding out at the end of May that I was once again pregnant. This was a rough pregnancy, but in January of 2014 we welcomed our third girl, Kendall, into our growing family. She is a sweety for sure and we are thrilled to be parents to 3 wonderful girls!
So that's my family. I myself am a stay at home mom and I love it. As I mentioned earlier I am halfway through my education degree, but that's on hold until our family is a little bit older. I do teach piano out of our home and enjoy that because music has always been a huge part of my life and so I love teaching and sharing that with others, and I love that both my girls and my husband also share my love of music! I also sell partylite on the side to have something that is strictly mine. It's my me time and I love it!
We as a family enjoy many things, music, church, camping, sports, outdoors, and swimming to name a few. We attend a local church and are enjoying getting more involved as our family continues to grow. We spend as much time camping during the summer as possible and since our girls are both fish in the water, we also frequent the local pool quite a bit!
So there you have it. A small town girl, raising her family in a small town. I love my husband, my girls and my God. And while my adventure of life is only just begun, I'm sure the Lord will take me places that I never thought I would go because He already has taken me beyond where I dreamed I'd be.
